Considered the king of spice blends with its name translating to " Top of the Shoppe " or " Best of the Best " as it uses only the top of the line ingredients available dependent upon the particular regions in Northern Africa. . Ras - el - Hanout can include a very lengthy list of many different spices and for this particular hand blended one I have chosen about 15 different ingredients. This spice blend is considered a relatively mild one but at the same time distinctly balanced and full bodied. It is used for many meat dishes and is particular popular for lamb dishes in Morocco.
